  • Worship PastorThe Worship Leader will lead the Worship Team and Grace Community Churchs congregation in faithful worship of our Lord and Savior.
Primary ResponsibilitiesAdministratorCoordinate worship for all regular worship times as well as special events.

Coordinate space utilization for worship and media ministries and make recommendations concerning building and remodeling with future worship needs in mind.

Coordinate the training and mentoring of members of the worship and media teams.
Coordinate planning to ensure Christians experience authentic worship personally and with the full church body.
Implement and lead an audition/interview process for all praise team candidates.
Coordinate weekly worship team rehearsals. Implement ministry for distribution of audio/video recordings of Sunday morningworship.

(Special events will be recorded at the discretion of the media team or by recommendation of the pastor.)Coordinate with Next Gen pastor on equipping and raising up children and students to lead worship.

Other responsibilities as assigned.
PromotionsGuide the worship ministry family to define, communicate and implement its purpose, vision and strategy.
Encourage and require leadership from committed members of the worship and media teams.

Keep the worship and media team members accountable in their walks with the Lord, including but not limited to, being a member of a Grace Life Group, as well as attending a minimum of one worship service per week.

Represent the worship ministry at staff meetings.
Coordinate the enlisting, training, and motivating of members to serve in the worship ministry.

Ensure the Digital Reach resources are used to share the gospel and reach the community, specifically audio, video, live streaming and Propresenter.

Lead and develop band members and singers.
Build a creative weekly worship experience utilizing available technology that touches multiple senses, including sight, sound, etc.
CommunicateShare the gospel with the lost on an ongoing basis, both individually and corporately.
Coordinate an overall worship evangelism strategy.
Network with other worship leaders in contemporary Christian settings.
Meet as needed with the Lead Pastor to apprise him of progress and/or challenges.

Communicate weekly with the worship team in an appropriate time frame ensuring they have all the information pertinent to their weekly role.

(i.e. getting weekly confirmation of team members availability, song titles, chord charts, audio samples, etc.)Create an environment that welcomes both the giving and receiving of suggestions and feedbackBe AccountableThe Worship Director reports to the Lead Pastor and supervises volunteer staff.
Spend time daily with God, growing to become more like Christ every day.
