Cardiac Sonographer- Cardiac Diagnostics

Join our team as a Cardiac Sonographer at Parkwest, West Knoxville's top-performing heart hospital. Experience nationally recognized care and be part of a multidisciplinary team in the Cardiac Diagnostics Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understands cross-sectional human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
  • Demonstrates knowledge in performing optimal studies
  • Assists in equipment maintenance and patient care
  • Performs various ultrasound tests, including stress echo exams
  • Acts as the primary contact between patients, physicians, and support team
  • Produces and analyzes images for patient diagnosis and treatment
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships inter- and intra-departmentally
  • Participates in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives
  • Efficiently coordinates daily work distribution and patient flow

Qualifications:
Minimum Education: None specified; sufficient to meet license/certification requirements
Minimum Experience: Two years' experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
Licensure Requirement: CCI, ARRT, or ARDMS Registry required. American Heart Association BLS certification needed.
