POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the development and implementation of all Asset Protection functions within all retail stores, distribution centers and supply chain in the US and Canada. This includes driving company programs designed to reduce accidental losses to customers, associates and property; comply with applicable regulatory requirements; theft and fraud detection and shrink reduction. Specific functional responsibilities include: store and store complex security, safety and asset protection, inbound and outbound distribution, logistics, inventory custody / audits, investigations, environmental health & safety, physical security solution implementation and third party security services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop, implement, and review strategies, procedures, and controls protecting people, property, information and brand across the store, distribution center and supply chain environments. Works closely with the Chief Security Officer, the security-safety leadership team, retail and supply chain leadership, and other stakeholders to build comprehensive and effective physical security, safety and asset protection programs and initiatives.
  • Spear head company-wide positive shrink reduction and profit growth through improved shrink initiatives and extraordinary execution of the company-wide policies and procedures and standard methodologies.
  • Support and lead investigations involving Outfitter conduct/insider behavior (in conjunction with HR) and crimes/actions committed against the business by outside or unknown parties (e.g., ORC). Ensures investigative protocols are properly followed and monitors for consistency and brand representation in how investigations are conducted and resolved. Liaise with law enforcement or other authorities as appropriate.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of risk for each facility and operation utilizing a standardized and consistent methodology and works with stakeholders to address risks appropriately. Ensures emergency and security preparedness and response protocols/practices are adequate for assigned facilities.
  • Serve as a crisis leader during times of emergency in support of field operations.
  • Ensure execution of proactive safety and accident reduction initiatives, monitoring, reporting and revision processes.
  • Work closely with Firearms Compliance team to ensure proper security and control of firearms and ammunition, compliance with all applicable laws, and continuous improvement on loss mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure proper execution of physical security features in assigned facilities and engages in continuous improvement practices to improve capability, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop, implement and oversee inventory control audits, processes, and practices.
  • Develop and grow team of asset protection and security/safety professionals.
  • Provide additional security and safety leadership and support for other company needs or assignments as appropriate at the direction of the Chief Security Officer.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred Degree:Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related degree program.
  • Preferred Certificate(s) or License(s): Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Physical Security Professional (PSP); Certified Threat Manager (CTM)
  • Experience: 10+ years asset protection, security, safety or law enforcement experience or related field
  • Additional Preferred Experience: 15+ years in multiple security/safety disciplines and environments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

  • Knowledge of asset protection and risk mitigation strategies
  • Knowledge and experience in supply chain security and inventory control practices
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in investigative practices
  • Knowledge and experience in global security practices
  • Knowledge of and skill in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel in the US and Canada as required
  • Valid US Passport required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular computer work, and sitting
  • Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Develops strategic direction, goals, plans and policies for an area of responsibility. Sets broad objectives and is accountable for overall results in respective area of responsibility. Authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance. Requires high degree of independent judgment and problem solving of complex problems.
