Engineering InternDucommun's Huntsville Performance Center is looking for an Engineering Intern to join the team full-time over the summer. As an intern, you will contribute to a major plant layout project aimed at enhancing workflow efficiency, learn about conformal coating, and RFA assembly. This project plays a key role in ensuring overall production success and on-time product delivery.About Ducommun:

Job Summary:
  • Collaborate under the mentorship of process engineering supervision to enhance automated and manual processes in a cutting-edge electronics manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and document processes while training production staff on proper methods.
  • Utilize programming and mechanical skills to work with machinery.
  • Analyze process flows and plant layouts, aiding in the implementation of layout changes.
  • Employ computer proficiency to enhance data evaluation and drive improvements.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned or needed for the role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Effective teamwork abilities across diverse functional areas.
  • Capability to create standard reports and correspondences.
  • Strong multitasking, decision-making, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including AutoCAD, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and the ability to interpret load plans.
Required Experience and Education:
  • Recent graduate or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Proficiency in various computer applications.
  • Team-oriented with a keen willingness to learn.
