In this role you Will:

  • Manage daily floor activities and transport clients to and from scheduled activities.
  • Monitor clients constantly and work with nurses and other staff to ensure their safety.
  • Assist with mealtime setup, light laundry, room cleaning, and grounds maintenance as needed.
  • Conduct admission and discharge processes for new and existing clients, including paperwork, drug and alcohol tests, skin checks, and inventory searches.
  • Perform regular safety checks on clients every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on their risk level.
  • Communicate effectively with other behavioral health technicians (BHTs) and nurses during shift changes and throughout the shift.

Qualifications:

  • Has a bachelor's degree in a behavioral health science
    OR equivalent work/volunteer experience.
  • Has Previous experience with treatment of substance abuse and/or cooccurring disorders
  • Has Training in verbal deescalation and/or mental health
    (preferred)
  • Holds a valid driver's license with no restrictions
    Willing to transport clients in a 15passenger van.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
