Shipping Clerk Summary:

Responsible for receiving, storing, staging and shipping all related materials within and from Hopkinsville operations.

Shipping Clerk Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completes daily forklift inspections and related Safety check requirements.
  • Receives all incoming materials into Hopkinsville warehouse utilizing identified inventory SOP's.
  • Stores all materials efficiently and orderly in the Hopkinsville warehouse utilizing determined material handling equipment and storage practices.
  • Stages all required materials for shipment to end customer as notified.
  • Utilizes related equipment and systems to properly label all materials for shipment
  • Learns and utilizes all customer shipping compliance requirements to avoid established chargeback violations.
  • Verifies all materials for order fulfillment accuracy. Inspects pallets and labels prior to loading for shipment to end customer.
  • Effectively and clearly communicates all activities and requirements to related personnel verbally or in written communications.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse and workstation.
  • Performs additional tasks as requested, directed or assigned.

Shipping Clerk Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
  • 2yrs Warehouse and/or Manufacturing Experience
  • Forklift operational skills preferred
