A Laborer will carry out various tasks like flagging, traffic control, and pavement marking while adhering to safety rules and procedures. This includes setting up signs and equipment to guide traffic in work areas. Overview of responsibilities:

  • Follow safety regulations in work zones and flagging sites by placing signs, barricades, cones, and warning devices.
  • Drive company vehicles following safety regulations.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections as per company standards.
  • Prepare trip sheets and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure public safety and respond to emergencies as instructed.
  • Inform supervisors of emergencies, accidents, or serious incidents.
  • Assist in material delivery to worksites if needed.
  • Support projects that align with organizational objectives.
Qualifications we are seeking:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1-5 years of general labor experience preferred.
  • Valid For-Hire license endorsement with DOT physical and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of traffic control or highway construction preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • The physical demands include standing for long periods, handling traffic equipment, walking, reaching, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating machinery. Vision abilities and PPE requirements are essential.
  • Travel to off-site locations and wear appropriate PPE as needed.
