Our Kidney Dialysis Unit (KDU) at Moses H Cone Hospital specializes in treating patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) and Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). Services also include Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Apheresis treatments like therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) and blood cell depletion. Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care using the nursing process
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Collaborate with healthcare team and patients for individualized care
  • Identify and address changes in patient conditions
  • Support evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise team members and promote a positive work environment
  • Demonstrate effective conflict resolution and professionalism

Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION: Required: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN), Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) EXPERIENCE: Required: New RN Graduates: Acceptance into Cone Health New Graduate program or completion of an acute care new graduate program. Preferred: Experienced RN - One year of Acute Care RN experience is preferred. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: REQUIRED: RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state, BLS (CPR) certification. PREFERRED: ACLS, PALS, NRP, CCRN, STARR
