The pivotal role of Scent Category Leader Air care within our Scent Unit is designed for a visionary leader committed to steering our business innovation through expert fragrance creation, market analysis, and strategy execution.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of category fundamentals, including consumer and market olfactive knowledge, and will be adept at leveraging informed creation methodologies and tools.

As a key player, you will collaborate closely with Marketing, Technical, and Business Development teams, along with other key stakeholders, to drive innovation and conceptualize proactive and solicited business opportunities.

Your expertise will also extend to coaching and mentoring within our fragrance community, enhancing our collective competencies and supporting career development across teams.

Working in tandem with our Consumer Insights team to deepen our understanding of target consumers and identify emerging opportunities through meticulous data analysis.

Your key responsibilities

Impact on strategy & contribution :

  • Enhance expertise in category knowledge, including consumer and market trends, and develop an olfactive vision for categories.
  • Use advanced creation methodologies and tools.
  • Offer expert consultancy and support, mentoring within the community to boost skills and support career growth.
  • Contribute to strategies for product development and market positioning.
  • Anticipate future needs by developing a long-term olfactive vision for categories.
  • Innovate by defining and developing new capabilities and predictive models.
  • Lead client-independent creation efforts, including proactive explorations and testing.
  • Ensure informed creation by integrating insights and data into the development process.
  • Establish and share best practices to unify the fragrance development community.
  • Innovation & complexity :
Manage (solid line) Innovation FDMs. Recommend Innovation strategy & priorities in the category to strengthen and accelerate differentiation on the market.

You bring

  • A fragrance expertise with 15 years of successful experience in Home categories with a preference for Air Care.
  • Scientifc/technical background can be a plus
  • International olfactive knowledge of the market and the consumers
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong team player, agile in a matrix organization
