This position is based in Clemmons, NC.

Position Overview


A Hayward Manufacturing Engineer "owns the Process." They engineer a Process to manufacture Product designed by Hayward's Product Engineering group.

The Process should create a Product that meets all specifications while being robust, repeatable, and capable.

Responsibilities:
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and standards.

Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements and workflow. Designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

Specifies and purchases equipment for product assembly.

Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office and 3D solid modeling software (SolidWorks). Proficiency with MRP and Process Monitoring software desired. Experience with assembly equipment and automation. Ability to effectively present information to management, engineers, vendors, assembly line supervisors and workers. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.

Education and Experience:
BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical or Industrial Engineering/ Engineering Technology
