Job Title: Respite Provider at LSI

About the Job:

Are you looking for a role where you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of local families?

LSI is currently in search of dedicated part-time Respite Providers to offer respite care services in the Ames & Boone area, catering to Story and Boone counties.

Respite care plays a vital role in providing caregivers a well-deserved break from the daily tasks of looking after a loved one with a disability.

  • Flexibility to create your own schedule based on the family's requirements
  • Potential for remote work after a probationary period
  • Opportunity to work in the community or from home
  • Possibility of evening, weekend, and overnight shifts

If you excel in communication, enjoy setting your own timetable, and have a genuine passion for helping others, becoming a Respite Provider could be the perfect fit for you.

Duties:

This role involves offering comprehensive care to individuals with disabilities while their primary caregivers are away, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Preference may be given to applicants recommended by clients or their families.

For those without direct requests, assignments will be made with approved clients needing services.

Respite care can be provided for a maximum of 16 hours a day at the client's residence.

Varying hours with no fixed schedules may occur, including gaps between work periods.

Tasks are often scheduled in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends based on family needs.

Qualifications:

Applicants should hold a high school diploma or GED, with prior experience in working with individuals with disabilities seen as advantageous. Basic computer skills are also beneficial.
