Our Impact:

The Tax team assesses and backs the activities, operations, reporting obligations, and transactions of the firm's business lines to ensure appropriate evaluation of tax implications and reputational risks. This work directly influences the firm's achievements and is particularly suited for individuals with a flair for creativity and collaboration, combined with strong ethical values and meticulous attention to detail.

The team is accountable for upholding the firm's compliance integrity with reporting authorities globally and handling related inquiries from various businesses across established and emerging markets. Daily functions include precise and punctual account documentation and monitoring, withholding, client information reporting, and regulatory filings. The team also provides crucial subject matter expertise and aligned support during the structure, testing, and execution of related systems and processes. By leveraging data analytics and technology efficiently, the team seizes opportunities to enhance procedures and foster scalability.

  • Cultivate profound expertise in pertinent tax systems, processes, and requisites
  • Attain an extensive grasp of multiple business lines throughout the firm, offering broad exposure to various divisions and groups
  • Utilize your inquisitive approach to pinpoint control vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, enhance client experiences, and advance process automation
  • Serve as a risk overseer through continuous evaluation and awareness of the tax regulatory landscape and the firm's adherence to relevant tax reporting duties

Skills & Experience We're Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant work experience in Operations, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, leading teams, functions, and projects
  • Superb communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to achieve outcomes, tackle problems, and take responsibility for deadlines and results
  • Demonstrated leadership acumen, showcasing proficiency in leading through influence, consensus-building, and managing stakeholders at senior/executive levels
  • Proven track record in scoping and steering project deliveries toward successful outcomes, independently and within deadlines and budget constraints. This includes strong analytical and project management skills, encompassing various facets such as defining project scope, identifying challenges, risks, and issue mitigation, status reporting, producing high-quality deliverables, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and decision-making under pressure
  • Ability to collaborate within project teams to project potential solutions' implications across processes, costs, risks, and the potential for service re-use, among others
  • Demonstrated capability to work across products, regions, and functions, ideally within the financial services sector
  • Superior people management abilities, influencing key stakeholders even beyond direct control, fostering a highly collaborative and consensus-driven environment
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure, prioritize tasks, and make decisions in fast-paced settings with a risk-aware mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehension of Operations processes and procedures, coupled with the capability to swiftly learn – familiarity with Operations-related processes or the Financial Services industry processes is advantageous
  • Prior experience in establishing JIRA boards, leading steering committee and scrum calls
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and BPM through Signavio

Salary Range:
The expected base salary for this position based in New York, United States, is $100,000-$, with potential eligibility for a discretionary bonus for active employees at fiscal year-end.
