What do I need as a Stylist with Messiah Lifeways?

• Must have a current Cosmetology License in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Must be able to perform standard cosmetology skills (cut, style, rolling, coloring, etc.) gel manicures, regular manicures, pedicures, and waxing services.
• Must be able to communicate well in both verbal and non-verbal forms.
• Must be kind, courteous, tactful, and sensitive to the needs of the residents.
• Must be respectful of the rights and confidentiality of others.

What will I do as a Stylist with Messiah Lifeways?

• Performs tasks related to hair, scalp, and nail care (as licensed) of residents and team members according to the guidelines established by the State Board of Cosmetology.
• Communicates possible health care and safety needs to the coordinator at the appropriate level of living.
• Responsible to return personal belongings (i.e. eyeglasses, hearing aids) to the resident being serviced.
• Follows emergency procedures and responds rapidly and appropriately to emergencies ensuring the safety of the residents and team members.
• Follows proper procedures and promotes safe work practices in order to maintain a safe working environment.
• Works cooperatively and productively with others, including residents, families, and other employees. Willingness to work under direction and supervision.
• Confidentiality regarding resident information must be maintained in strict confidence, as well as other information pertaining to the business of Messiah Lifeways.
• Additional duties and tasks as assigned by the Salon Services Supervisor or Lead Stylist
• Responsible for reviewing each day's schedule for accuracy.
