Job Description:
- Perform general machining of routine castings and construct small fixtures for the finishing department.
- Utilize tools and equipment including grinders, drill press, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, reaming tools, and more.
- Work with materials like aluminum, copper, and brass based castings, tapping fluids, lubricants, etc.
- Follow safety requirements, work instructions, and receive daily assignments from supervisors.
- Setup and operate drill press, milling machines, and lathe for machining castings based on blueprints.
- Verify accuracy of work using measuring instruments and mechanics hand tools.
- Move castings to the next operation as per the process sheet.
- Maintain records, logs, and enter information into the Company software.
- Keep work area clean and orderly while adhering to hazardous material handling protocols.
- Attend training sessions for lifting techniques and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Work in an environment with airborne grinding dust.

Special Skills Required:
- Technical school diploma in precision machining technology or one year of machining experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting casting blueprints.
- Good working knowledge of personal computers and related software.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
