Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist at YNHHS

Job Description: Reporting to the Breast Center Manager and/or Chief Technologist, the Ultrasound Technologist performs a range of technical duties using advanced imaging equipment to generate high-quality Ultrasound images for radiologist interpretation. All tasks are carried out following departmental and organizational guidelines, focusing on service excellence and adherence to YNHH Core Success Factors.
To address departmental staffing requirements, Diagnostic Radiology staff may work at any YNHH Diagnostic Radiology facility, irrespective of their primary work location.
Responsibilities:
- Performs efficient and precise ultrasound exams to aid in patient diagnostics
- Ensures accurate and compassionate patient care for optimal service quality and satisfaction
- Maintains records meticulously to support departmental objectives and smooth operations
- Participates in continuous learning opportunities to enhance personal skills and knowledge, and may assist in training others
- Adheres to safety protocols rigorously to guarantee a secure environment for all
- Works towards achieving departmental patient satisfaction scores by enhancing the overall patient experience in Diagnostic Radiology
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Required: AS degree from a CAAHEP-accredited School of Diagnostic Sonography, AS degree from an Allied Health program plus 12 months of full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonography instruction, or Bachelor's degree plus 12 months of full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonography instruction.
EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated proficiency in routine sonography to meet entry-level standards.
LICENSURE
Must hold ARDMS certification including Breast (BR).
SPECIAL SKILLS
Proficient in routine ultrasound imaging techniques, knowledgeable in computer/PACS applications, strong organizational and communication/customer service skills.
