The Surgery Service at North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System is in search of a skilled and energetic Physician specializing in Plastic Surgery. Ideal candidates are those who wish to contribute to maintaining high-quality care standards and also play a role in the growth and advancement of a VA academic hospital program. We are looking for a great communicator and team player who can easily adapt to the evolving needs of a growing medical center.

The Plastic Surgery Section at North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Plastic Surgeon to join our team at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. We are interested in professionals trained in general plastic surgery, with hand fellowship experience being advantageous.
Pathology routinely seen and treated includes:
- Hand, skin cancers, breast reductions, breast reconstructions
- Eyelids/brows, septorhinoplasty, facial trauma
Duties include:
- Patient examinations and assessments
- Performing surgical and non-invasive treatments
- Ensuring sterilization of equipment
- Providing post-operative care
- Guiding patients on risks and benefits of procedures
- Supervising medical staff and residents
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Subject to supervisor approval). Various shifts may be required based on facility and patient care needs.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Completion of basic and additional job requirements
- Professional proficiency in English
Qualifications:
Degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent, full and unrestricted license to practice, residency training, and board certification in Surgery/Plastic Surgery. Experience with Electronic Records and supervision preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Includes manual dexterity, ability for rapid coordination, far vision, hearing, and other factors. Driving may be required.
Education:
Degree of Doctor of Medicine from an approved institution.
