Girls' Softball - Assistant Coach-JV (3 positions)

Job Summary:
This role involves working closely with the Head Coach to support the football program. The Assistant Coach plays a key role in assisting the Head Coach and shares responsibility for the overall success of the program. It is essential for the Assistant Coach to collaborate effectively with the school community and demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:
Required Experience or Training

Valid Illinois State Teaching, Substitute Certification, and/or ASEP or NFHS Certification

Strong understanding of the sport

Prior coaching experience

Thorough knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport

Execute the objectives of the sport program set by the head coach and school administrator

To educate athletes in fundamental individual and team skills, strategies, and physical conditioning needed for both personal and team achievements

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Display cooperation, positivity, and enthusiasm towards students, faculty, colleagues, and the community
  • Inspire student athletes through personal example
  • Assist in designing, organizing, and overseeing a football program based on the latest expertise in the sport. Share information with and coach student athletes and colleagues accordingly.
  • Maintain the expected standards of behavior and safety for all student athletes
  • Adhere to school and district guidelines
  • Full compliance with all IHSA regulations
  • Demonstrate and teach the proper use and maintenance of school equipment.
  • Fulfill any other duties and tasks as assigned or directed by the administration
