Job Summary:
ATC Portland, a leading healthcare and medical facility located in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Echo Tech to join our team as a full-time individual contributor. As an Echo Tech, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic tests using ultrasound imaging technology to help identify and diagnose various medical conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic and collaborative team in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Schedule Shifts: 8am to 4:30 pm (8 hours)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic tests using ultrasound technology to create images of the heart and surrounding structures
  • Prepare patients for procedures by taking a medical history and explaining the process
  • Ensure proper positioning of patients and equipment to obtain accurate images
  • Analyze test results and work collaboratively with healthcare team to provide accurate diagnoses
  • Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
  • Record and maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques
  • Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor at all times

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in cardiovascular technology or related field
  • Current certification of the following: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Verification, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) Verification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
  • COVID Vaccinated
  • Recent PPD Test or Chest X-Ray
  • Clear criminal background check(s) & drug screening
  • Reliable transportation & smartphone
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
