Essential Functions:

  • Participate in training team members on operational processes, merchandising standards, store appearance, and profitability.

  • Support HR in areas of hiring, development, coaching, and termination.
  • Contribute to fostering a respectful workplace culture and offering mentorship and development opportunities.
  • Learn to lead by example to earn trust, respect, and followership while building strong teamwork.
  • Observe and learn to identify new customers and revenue opportunities for the store.
  • Learn to minimize inventory shrinkage by ensuring proper processes and procedures are utilized.
  • Learn to oversee controllable expenses, create work schedules, approve timecards, and monitor labor costs.
  • Observe and communicate with Area Manager to establish initiatives and business plans for the store.
  • Learn how to develop, update, and execute annual budgets and action plans.
  • Learn to take responsibility for P&L while mapping out initiatives and business plans for the store.
  • Observe and ensure that all delivery vehicles are kept in working order and represent the company positively.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record required for operation of company vehicles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of retail operations preferred.
  • Personal qualities of flexibility, integrity and confidentiality
