POSITION SUMMARY
The Fuel Technician will be responsible with performing a vast number of duties of fuel equipment and general maintenance of supporting equipment in the shop.
Pay Range: $ $36.00
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, maintain, and repair fuel dispensers, fuel pumps, site controllers, consoles, tank monitoring equipment, and other station equipmentConduct daily fuel station inspections and repairs to include nozzle, hose replacement, dispenser filter replacementAnalyze equipment issues and determine appropriate action for service and repairMaintain, update fuel inventory log and fuel orderingMaintain vehicle-mounted pumps, power generators, air compressors and shop equipmentAdhere to fuel spill control measures, safety, fire, OSHA, and EPA regulationsObtain and maintain personal certifications and from original equipment manufacturersResolve warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitorsPerform after-hours service calls and preventative maintenance on station electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems 10% of timeProvide exceptional customer service by completing assigned duties cost-effectivelyOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
Valid Driver License1-3 years of experience in mechanical fuel pump, fuel systems, electrical systems, generators, compressors, or related repair work experienceVeeder-Root ATG Technician Certification, GVR or Wayne Dispensing Systems, underground tank operator certificationPass drug screen, criminal background checkMust be able to maintain a safety-minded approach on all work performedBasic computer MS Suite skills: willingness to learnEffective oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completionProblem solving skills with an analytical thought processAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentBENEFITS

Work is typically based in one of five busy service maintenance garage environments, may require occasional on-the-road maintenance repairs. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
