Reports to: Sedona Lago Gardens – Program Director
Summary: The Concierge is responsible for supporting and assisting Sedona Lago Gardens Program Residents in reaching their full potential. In fulfilling this mission, he/she will:
- Makes their highest priority enhancing and supporting each Resident's quality of life
- Fosters a home environment that is safe, clean, welcoming, and supportive, while encouraging the development of skills and achievement of goals. The concierge will demonstrate knowledge of each resident's specific goals and programming
- Works collaboratively with Pathways to Independence Team Members, Life Coaches, and the Program Director in supporting and monitoring each Resident's progress toward goal attainment and independence.
- Provides daily support and assistance with problem-solving within the home/s and ensures completion of housekeeping tasks/cores
- Develops and sets up afternoon/evening and weekend activities on the campus
- Ensures resident safety and wellbeing
- Monitors security on campus
- Assists with meals as needed
- The successful candidate is at least 18 years of age and has a High School Diploma or GED.
- Current driver's license issued by the State of AZ and safe driving record
- Able to pass all pre-employment clearance requirements: A current driver's license issued by the State of AZ and a safe driving record, a criminal background check, drug screen, pre-employment physical, TB test, and qualify for a level 1 fingerprint clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification and food handler's card
- Possess basic math skills, be computer literate, and able to follow detailed instructions
- Demonstrated professional demeanor with the ability to effectively coach using positive reinforcement and encouragement.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage Residents in learning activities that build life skills
- Evidence of strong Christian commitment is desirable. Evidence of strong ethical standards and moral character is essential, along with a sensitivity to the needs of the Residents.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Empower Residents to achieve their highest potential by supporting and assisting Residents in building life skills and achieving individual goals.
- Fosters a home and community environment in which Residents are treated with dignity and respect; recognizing that the home is the Resident(s) home and not the staff member's home
- Assists with maintaining daily hygiene and completion of household chores/tasks
- Meal duties: Assists as needed with providing a balanced and nutritious breakfast, makes sure that Residents are engaging in meal opportunities
- Develop and reinforce honesty, trust, and responsibility in relationships. Effectively coach Residents using positive reinforcement and encouragement
- Protect Residents' rights, always treating Residents with dignity and respect
- Maintain accurate Medication records, administer medications as prescribed, be attentive to potential side effects, and appropriately report. Transport Residents to scheduled medical and dental appointments.
- Review basic emergency responses: medical and fire, including exit routes from the house and when and how to dial "911"
- Report any accidents and/or injuries, emotional changes, and any physical changes noticed by completing the appropriate documentation.
- Monitor recreational activities, especially television, and movies, for appropriate content. Report and effectively address concerns working with the Program Director.
- Miscellaneous/other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: stand; walk; have great dexterity of hands and arms; push; pull; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; talk; and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must be able to properly and safely lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here represent those employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The working environment is generally indoors but could be exposed to heat/cold from outdoor activities. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
