Day to Day Responsibilities:

Develop, design, and implement deployment automation and applications using system/software engineering best practices:

  • DevOps (Jenkins, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code
  • Event Driven Architecture / Message Queuing

Administer IBM Liberty / WebSphere Application Server, troubleshoot, and provide engineering contributions.

Collaborate closely with a high-performing Leidos team, investigate and repair application defects, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Foundation for Success (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and application analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in Application Server Administration
  • 2+ years of experience in deployment automation tools
  • Public Trust required

Factors to Help You Shine (Required Skills):

  • Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere and MQ administration
  • Strong scripting and automation skills
  • Experience with Java EE applications

How to Stand Out from the Crowd (Desired Skills):

  • Preferred experience with AWS cloud technologies
  • Experience with PaaS using Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools
  • Understanding of Social Security Administration
