Job Description:

Operating as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in Kearney, Nebraska, joins a vital role in a dynamic surgical team, ensuring patient safety and enhancing surgical outcomes.

Emphasizing expertise in neuro-trauma and cranial procedures is crucial for our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and maintaining a sterile environment for surgical procedures.
  • Assisting surgeons by providing instruments and sterile supplies during operations.
  • Accounting for all equipment and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
  • Handling specimens cautiously and ensuring proper labeling for laboratory analysis.
  • Conducting preoperative and postoperative cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Ensuring the sterility of the operating room environment.
  • Assisting in patient preparation for surgery, including positioning and draping.
  • Providing assistance during emergencies by anticipating the surgical team's needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in neurotrauma procedures, especially cranial surgeries.
  • Experience in total joint and level II trauma procedures.
  • Ability to independently and effectively scrub.
  • In-depth understanding of surgical techniques, instruments, and aseptic practices.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities for efficient collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and healthcare professionals.

Additional Notes:

  • Proficiency in neurotrauma and cranial procedures demonstration required.
  • Ideal candidates will possess experience in total joint and level II trauma surgeries.
  • Demonstrating a high level of independence and the capability to handle Neurotrauma call are essential.
  • Proven ability to achieve 3s in neuro assessments.
