7E is a 23-bed Medical Cardiac unit that admits complex medical patients and patients with cardiac issues, primarily heart failure.

The cardiac patients are placed on telemetry and are monitored by the unit staff/remotely by highly trained telemetry techs.

All nursing staff are skilled to identify heart rhythms and are given heart failure education.

Every staff will complete a needs assessment survey once they are hired to evaluate learning needs followed by educational sessions as necessary.

This unit ranked one of the highest scores in the Press Ganey Staff Engagement Survey in 2021.

As integral members of high-functioning, inter-professional teams, Emory Healthcare's med/surg nurses are on the frontline of care in our hospitals and operate with a full complement of specialties and the ability to care for medically complex patients.

Capable clinician who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients, and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years. Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.

Exceptions:

Individuals currently employed as a LPN within the EHC system at the time of completion of an accredited RN program and becoming licensed as a RN will be considered eligible to move to the Nurse Clinician title while matriculating through the Resident program.
