The Distribution Designer role involves designing construction, relocation, and new business projects within the Distribution function. It requires utilizing customer service skills, software expertise, and knowledge of design standards and regulatory guidelines. The position entails continuous interaction with internal and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
  • Utilize FirstEnergy standards for construction and engineering to complete various design projects.
  • Support project progress through customer interaction, fieldwork, and related tasks.
  • Handle billing functions for construction projects and other related work.
  • Acquire permits and collaborate with customers on project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records to support technical reports and information systems.
  • Provide support during emergencies and storm-related activities.
  • Attend necessary regulatory training sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 0-3 years of design experience.
  • Ability to pass required employment tests.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Commitment to core values and behaviors.
