Job Description: As the Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in leading our engineering team to achieve operational excellence and drive innovation in our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for managing a small team of engineers and providing strong leadership to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for designing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes and products.
  • Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the engineering team to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and R&D, to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and product enhancement.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and quality through process improvements, automation, and technology adoption.
  • Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship within the engineering team and across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in engineering and manufacturing to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes, assembly operations, and product development.
  • Proven track record of managing engineering teams and delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to manufacturing and engineering.
