Endries International is currently looking for a Purchasing Coordinator III,

a highly vital
role within the procurement team, responsible for guiding the strategic direction of our procurement process. The position involves advanced supplier relationship management and optimization of the procurement function, tapping into extensive industry knowledge to secure advantageous terms, boost cost efficiencies, and maintain optimal inventory control.

Main Responsibilities

  • Foster and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, addressing critical challenges to ensure a resilient and dependable supply chain
  • Lead initiatives to examine inventory data, trends, and demand patterns to enhance stock levels, reduce carrying expenses, and minimize stock shortages
  • Supervise the negotiation, endorsement, and administration of high-value contracts and agreements with suppliers, guaranteeing rigorous compliance with terms and conditions
  • Perform advanced price analysis, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership evaluations to pinpoint opportunities for substantial cost savings and additional value from suppliers
  • Collaborate closely with quality teams to validate that all products meet or exceed required quality standards and specifications
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and innovations in fasteners and related products, utilizing this knowledge to make well-informed purchasing decisions
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to other procurement team members, fostering their professional advancement and sustaining a positive environment
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function
  • Capable of managing purchase orders from inception to completion
  • All additional tasks as delegated
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Demonstrated track record of successful supplier negotiations and cost reductions
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and issue-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in utilizing advanced procurement software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and team management skills
  • Basic understanding of fasteners, materials, industry standards, and market dynamics
  • Strong written and verbal communication prowess
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Holder of a Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • More than 5 years of progressive experience in a procurement or purchasing role within the fastener distribution sector
