Job Title: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics

We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Advanced Analytics to become part of the Advanced Analytics team at Procore. This team is part of the Enterprise AI/ML team which falls under our Data, Technology, and Security organization.


The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with a background in applied statistics or a similar quantitative field. We are looking for someone with a strong analytics background who thrives in ambiguous and complex situations, possesses experience in leading cross-functional teams, and excels in conveying data-driven insights to senior leaders.


Role Overview:

  • Lead a skilled team of data scientists/analysts within the Advanced Analytics team, focusing on extracting insights from Procore's vast data.
  • Perform advanced data analysis and statistical modeling to derive actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify business opportunities, ensuring clarity of communication and strategic alignment on analytical initiatives.
  • Engage cross-functionally with various teams to guarantee alignment and leverage synergies.
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members, enhancing the team's expertise in Advanced Analytics techniques.
  • Develop intuitive analytics insights, create data science solutions, offer business recommendations, and assess the impact.
  • Report directly to the Sr. Director, Advanced Analytics, contributing significantly to supporting strategic business initiatives through detailed data analysis, statistical modeling, and the creation of reporting tools and metrics.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a quantitative field (economics, statistics, math, data science, etc).
  • 8+ years of experience in a relevant field with profound technical knowledge in data analysis, statistical modeling, and analytics tools.
  • Solid technical background in statistics, measurement, experimentation, modeling, SQL, R/Python.
  • Experience applying statistical methodologies, including predictive modeling, to steer business outcomes.
  • Minimum of 3 years as a people manager overseeing a team.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders and simplifying complex concepts, with strong storytelling abilities during presentations.
  • Experience shaping strategy through data-centric presentations.
  • Ability and familiarity working in an Agile development team environment.
  • Experience in SaaS is desirable.
