**Description**

**The responsibilities will include the following:**

Ensures nutritious meals are ready at a specified time.

Follows types and quantities of meats, vegetables and soups prepared by reviewing planned menus.

Ability to follow therapeutic diet menus, recipes and instruct cooks helpers on the same.

Tests food being cooked to ensure doneness. Adjust heat controls, as necessary. Able to re-calibrate thermometers as needed.

Ensure cooking area is santized and assist in serving meals to the staff and the patients.

**Qualified candidates should have the following:**

Must have a High School Diploma

Must have at least 1-year experience of commercial cooking preferably in a healthcare setting

Able to exhibit professional attitude and conduct with staff, patients and family members

Able to work the schedule as prescribed for the department
