Pharmacy Technician

Jessie Trice Community Health System is looking for a Pharmacy Technician who will be responsible for understanding prescription orders and providing patients with information about their medications. The candidate will interact with patients and healthcare providers, addressing inquiries and directing complex questions to the Pharmacist. Responsibilities include processing prescriptions accurately, managing charges, and handling administrative duties like record-keeping as instructed by the Pharmacist/Manager.
- Education and Skills Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) is a must.
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is mandatory.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Prior experience with Rx30 is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt, problem-solve, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
Special Requirement:
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
