Join our team as a Supplier Quality Engineer at Covetrus The Supplier Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining a top-notch supplier quality management program for various businesses in North America, such as compounding pharmacies, outsourcing facilities, and distribution centers. We are looking for a candidate who understands the significance of efficient supplier quality processes, possesses extensive knowledge of supplier quality procedures, and is well-versed in supplier-related regulatory standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier quality management program tailored to the specific needs of various operations.
  • Collaborate with different teams to establish supplier qualification criteria, quality standards, and performance indicators.
  • Lead supplier qualification processes and assess potential suppliers for quality, regulatory, and business compliance.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of suppliers considering various factors.
  • Establish supplier quality agreements outlining expectations, standards, and communication channels.
  • Implement a structured supplier audit program to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance through data analysis and proactive issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage Supplier Corrective Action Request activities.
  • Provide training on supplier quality requirements to internal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in scientific or related field.
  • Four or more years of experience in a regulated industry.
  • Minimum of two years of direct experience in supplier quality management.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Certified quality auditor or similar industry certification preferred.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Effective negotiation and partnership-building skills.
  • Experience in regulated industries.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

  • Business travel may be required (up to 15%).
