Team Lead, HIM ED Charging & CRC

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location:

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Position Summary:

The Team Lead will assist the Outpatient Coding Manager with daily operations and coordination of work for all the Claims Resolution (CRC) or ED Charging work queues.
  • Successful candidate will work with CRC/ED charging team, nurse audit, coding audit/education, compliance, charge integrity unit and patient finance to assure effective claim resolution practices.
  • Team Lead will monitor regulatory requirements through providing technical expertise within assigned area.
  • The Team Lead serves as technical and claims or charging resource for other team members through participation in quality control and improvement activities, staff development and daily support to team members.
  • Team Lead will serve as super-user for the claim resolution or ED charging workflow and systems.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate's level degree and RHIT preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

    Minimum 3 years coding or billing experience required
  • 2 years Health Information Management experience preferred.
  • Certified Coding Specialist or Certified Professional Coder required.

    Facility E/M level, medication administration and bedside procedure charging experience required.

Job Summary

Certified Coding Specialist or Certified Professional Coder required.

Facility E/M level, medication administration and bedside procedure charging experience required.

Qualifications:

ALD - Associate's Level Degree, HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) - Certification - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC) - Certification - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
