The principal duty of all employees is to assist in the mission of the Church in the Diocese of Fort Worth.


Essential Functions of the Janitorial position are:
Perform cleaning and routine maintenance duties of church building, auxiliary buildings and church grounds.

Job Duties to Include
Provide recommendations to the Facilities Manager on ongoing requirements related to facilities.
Perform preventive maintenance, sweep, mop, vacuum and shampoo floors as needed.
Make note and report items needing repair. Schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance for requirements beyond personal capabilities.
Attend to emergencies when necessary.
Other duties of a janitorial or maintenance nature as may arise but not specifically listed.

Qualifications
Must be able to physically perform Job Duties above successfully to include lifting 50 pounds without assistance.

Must have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, following directions, comprehension, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, organizing and innovation.

Must be able to safely operate and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; floor buffers, extractors, high pressure washers, vacuums, power lift, etc.

Must be able to follow directions regarding the safe and appropriate use of chemicals and supplies.
Must be able to comply with hiring requirements, both Federal and those of the Diocese of Fort Worth.
Able to work weekday afternoons/nights up to 19hrs, days would depend on hours you are able to work.

Evaluation:
The person in this position will be evaluated periodically during a 90 day trial period. After this period, evaluation will normally occur on an annual basis.
