Position Overview:
Power your future with Qualus as a Field Service Technician I.

As a Field Service Technician I you will be performing testing, maintenance, and repair of low and medium-voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control, and other electrical apparatus in the shop and the field.


Responsibilities:
Performing testing on low and medium voltage breakers including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing tests.
Completing mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including tear down, refurbishment and parts replacement.
Wiring circuit breakers.
Utilizing and accurately reading test equipment.
Reading schematics and wiring drawings.
Troubleshooting circuit breaker controls.
Reading and plotting time-current curves.
Testing transformers, including Power Factor and TTR.
Accurately and consistently documenting using Power DB.
Able to work with electrical tools and socket sets.

Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma

1-5 years' related experience in commercial and industrial maintenance
Reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications
Perform regular fieldwork both indoors and outdoors
Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, and management ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Valid Drivers license and good driving record
Preferred

Qualifications:

Licensures and Certifications:
NETA 2, 3, or 4 preferred
2 years of industrial or commercial power systems testing
