Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist works closely with the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Foundation to ensure that the digital content and social media strategies are in scope and fully integrated across channels and measurable in market that align with the hospitals strategic goals. Write, create and post content to all hospital and hospital related social media sites, digital signs, and website. Work with graphic designers, videography and web team to make sure content is current and correct. Maintains good rapport with outside suppliers. Provide tactical input on message creation and delivery. Lead the development and ensure flawless execution of digital campaigns including online search engine optimization, Google AdWords, Google My Business, digital advertising, social media, and emerging channels. Monitor and utilize analytics using Google Analytics. Assist in developing marketing plans to foster public interest, understanding, and good will to provide a central source of information for the public that will comply with hospital policies. Interprets data to govern marketing decisions with the ultimate goal of positively impacting volumes, community perception, and staff engagement. Assists with special events as needed and all other duties assigned. Helps foster attitudes of confidence and respect for the Hospital on part of the community while developing the Hospitals overall image.

Follows all policies and procedures as established by WGH for patient care and confidentiality. Follows safe practices for handling toxic substances, infection control, and fire and safety procedures. Must have working knowledge and skills necessary to provide service to customers of all ages.

Education, License, or any special requirements:

  1. Bachelors Degree, but a post graduate degree in Communications or Marketing would be preferred.
  2. 3-5 years experience in social media marketing, healthcare experience desirable
  3. Understanding of social media marketing principles, experience with social media platforms and demonstrated ability to transform these skills into a build targeted campaign
  4. Experience with search engine marketing via Google Ads
  5. Must be able to create concepts with compelling messages, both small and large scale, and translate them into cohesive and marketing programs
  6. Knowledge of and experience with word processing, publishing, video production, and graphic software, specifically Adobe InDesign.
  7. Strong communication skills for both written and verbal.
  8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  9. Self-motivated, able to independently execute with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities0
  10. Excellent analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills; understands how to generate meaningful results
