Department:02190 AMG Waterford - Immediate CareStatus:Part timeBenefits Eligible:NoHours Per Week:0Schedule Details/Additional Information:Casual position supporting shifts at 5 locations: Burlington, Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, Paddock Lake and Waterford. Operating hours are Monday-Friday 8-8 and Saturdays and Sundays 8-4. Minimum of 3 shifts per month required, with one on a weekend. A holiday shift per year is also mandatory.Major Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute patients within an urgent care setting for the majority of work shift.
  • Serves as the main patient contact, collaborating closely with physicians to connect patients with specialty teams and ensure seamless transitions between care settings.
  • Offers clinical guidance to nursing staff for patient care continuation and ensures adherence to recommended care.
  • Prescribes, recommends, and regulates treatments, including medications, across various care settings.
  • Facilitates complex care coordination, manages ancillary services, and provides patient education on various health aspects.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, performs procedures within scope of practice, and adjusts patient care plans accordingly.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
  • Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by Wisconsin.
  • Nurse Practitioner (AANP) or (ANCC) certification.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) to be obtained within 6 months.
Education Required:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in caring for patients with acute, critical, and chronic conditions as a nurse practitioner.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Maintains majority of practice within an urgent care setting.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in independent work and effective teamwork within healthcare environments.
  • Ability to handle high stress, fast-paced conditions and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and prioritization skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Various physical demands present, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and exposure to hazards like chemicals and body fluids.
