Are you an experienced estimator looking for a new opportunity with a reputable company? Look no further Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a skilled estimator to join their team.
Essential Function:
- Develop accurate estimates for a variety of projects in the heavy civil, underground utilities, pipe rehabilitation, guide rail and sign structures, and renewable energy industries.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Utilize estimating software and perform quantity takeoffs to determine labor, equipment, and material costs.
- Collaborate with upper management to review and discuss project estimates.
- Submit completed estimates to owners by specified deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
- 6-8 years of experience as an estimator with a track record of bidding on larger and more complex projects.
- 8-10 years of experience in construction operations.
- Strong ability to read and understand contract drawings, specifications, and documents.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with owners during the bid phase.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam, Agtek, and/or Primavera software a plus.
