Nursing Educator
As a Nursing Educator, you'll be a guiding light for our team, helping them grow and excel in their roles. You'll teach and mentor staff, making sure they have the skills they need to provide top-notch care. From training new team members to keeping everyone up-to-date on the latest practices, you'll be a key part of our team's success. Your dedication to staff development will help us provide the best possible care to our patients.
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 am -4:30 pm; may vary based on educational needs of staff, scheduled trainings, etc.
Key Job Duties
Clinical Performance
1. Develop, coach and mentor skills through hands-on teaching, competency audits, nursing practice observations and documentation reviews.
2. Conduct assessments, address performance issues with plans that include feedback, coaching, training and monitoring progress.
3. Participate in the annual performance evaluation process.
Orientation
1. Review/update orientation competencies to ensure compliance and accuracy.
2. Facilitate orientation classes, orientation review classes and skills-day training.
3. Assess and provide mentoring to new employees.
4. Ensure staff are able to perform job duties in a satisfactory manner.
5. Participate in evaluation visits to ensure competency of staff members.
Education
1. Function as clinical resource to nursing staff.
2. Teach courses for clinical initiatives and processes.
3. Provide ongoing staff education such as in-services, providing and communicate CEU opportunities, manage Skills Fair, etc.
4. Collaborate in the development of a coaching plan for identified staff members that are not meeting job duties in a satisfactory manner.
5. Develop and update competencies to ensure compliance and accuracy and ensure completion of on-going competencies for staff members.
6. Assist in the completion of training verification for either on-going education or new education processes.
7. Provide educational outreach to community healthcare partners.

Requirements:Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
2. Three to five years of relevant work experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
3. Three years of leadership, coaching, project management and execution
4. Valid Wisconsin Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance coverage
Must be 18 years of age or older.
