  • Must hold an active Secret clearance
  • At least ten (10) years of progressive experience and team leadership in the design and implementation of large, complex global networks
  • Well versed in cloud architectures, software defined networking, data center switching technologies, and securing virtual environments (AWS, Azure, Google desired)
  • Strong WAN experience
  • Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCIE or CCDE) certification desired
  • Excellent communications and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated confidence with the ability to present and have customer facing conversations
  • Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
  • Manage technology vendors.
  • Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
  • Assess vendor development/test strategies for various network domain phase 0 projects.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
  • Good knowledge on firewall design and implementation.
  • Background in deploying both bare metal systems and virtual cloud services
  • Proven experience evaluating emerging technologies and incorporating them into existing or new systems
  • Ability and willingness to travel OCONUS
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking and network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, Checkpoint firewalls, Inflobox DNS, F5 LTM, Inflobox GTM, SSH, VPNs)
  • Proven ability to accomplish assigned tasks with little supervision
  • Thorough understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to
:

Ethernet, OSPF, IGMP, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.11n, and 802.11ac.

  • Knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless hardware, software and protocols.
  • Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities.
  • Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment.
