Lead Supplier Quality Engineer - Sourcing

The Lead Supplier Quality Engineer in Sourcing plays a key role in ensuring quality standards are met by suppliers. This position involves implementing quality plans, qualifying suppliers, owning supplier results and audits, and driving enhancements through the use of supplier scorecards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of core business drivers and how their team's work aligns with and contributes to the overall business objectives.



Roles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development, including supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, and performance monitoring.
  • Developing expertise in a specialized area, utilizing experience and acquired knowledge to execute strategies.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders about design and coordination services provided, offering guidance to new team members.
  • Utilizing technical skills and judgment to solve problems, impacting projects and procedures within the field.
  • Travel required approximately 25% of the time.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Quality, and/or Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with technical data subject to Government contract restrictions.
Desired Characteristics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively.
  • Skills in documentation, planning, marketing, and program execution.
