Purpose: This role focuses on aiding pharmacists with various tasks such as handling drug therapy orders, interpreting prescriptions, and maintaining records. The position also involves working closely with leads and supervisors to resolve issues and complete project tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in accordance with regulations by interpreting prescription orders, entering data, and conducting physician outreach when necessary.
  • Obtain accurate orders and missing information, handle patient adherence, and manage medication deliveries.
  • Update patient information, communicate with insurance providers, and suggest improvements for enhanced operations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams professionally to ensure quality service provision.
  • Assist in defining objectives, supporting business priorities, and handling various tasks as needed.
  • Check pharmacist voicemail and take on additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet Pharmacy Technician Licensure requirements.
  • Maintain Illinois Certified Pharmacy Technician licensure and CE requirements.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a healthcare setting with strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication abilities.
  • Strong time management and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word or Excel.
  • Flexible work schedule between 7am and 7pm.
