Location Description:
At Michael Foods, Inc., situated in Klingerstown, Pennsylvania, you'll find a community known for its charming ice cream socials at Klingerstown Lutheran Parish, engaging fishing rodeo events, and vibrant fireman's parades.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing Maintenance and Reliability services as part of our Maintenance teams, driving excellence in execution and enhancing the health of our assets.

Your primary focus will involve leading the ongoing implementation and management of a forward-thinking Reliability Improvement initiative within a large-scale facility producing multiple products.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly manage a team of 3 maintenance professionals - Conduct thorough and timely Performance Management evaluations in line with program objectives - Plan and schedule maintenance activities effectively

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the SAP Database through planners - Ensure smooth execution of the Maintenance workflow process by collaborating with maintenance supervisors and gatekeepers - Develop and revise work plans, bringing them to fruition through scheduling - Serve as the SAP expert and trainer at the location - Assist with asset technical knowledge and SAP Master Data management, including Procedures, Specifications, BOM's, Drawings, etc. - Handle all functions and transactions at an expert level, including training - Contribute to the Facility Maintenance budget process, leveraging maintenance and reliability principles to enhance facility costs and productivity

Responsibilities:
- Provide input for optimizing the Preventive Maintenance program and its content - Implement the Predictive Maintenance (Pd.M.) Program within the maintenance department, covering vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and motor circuit analysis - Collaborate with maintenance and operation teams to enhance equipment reliability through knowledge-sharing, techniques, and procedures - Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance to drive continuous improvement in asset reliability - Advocate for the Plant's RCM and RCA processes - Support equipment upgrades, major overhauls, obsolescence conversions, and engineering solutions for continuous improvement - Engage with internal and external Maintenance & Reliability teams for benchmarking and best practices

Responsibilities:
- Act as or supervise the Plant buyer for all goods and services, including MRO and Facility Services - Negotiate and procure competitive bids for necessary items - Manage supplier relationships and conduct supplier evaluations regularly - Review local contracts to ensure alignment with MFI's best interests - Collaborate with Plant management to address vendor performance issues - Oversee all Plant indirect goods and services procurement, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures - Provide critical equipment technical support outside regular hours in 24/7 operations - Uphold and promote the culture, values, and principles of Michael Foods - Adhere to Plant safety, food safety, sanitation standards, and GMP guidelines - Conduct accurate incident investigations and report communications related to work-related injuries

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or a related engineering/technical field - 3+ years of experience in Plant Maintenance & Reliability Engineering or a similar technical role - Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead diverse teams - Proficiency in root cause analysis and predictive maintenance technologies like vibration analysis, infrared testing, and acoustic emissions - Solid mechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of mechanical equipment and systems, including pumps, fans, dryers, bearings, and seals

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Background in Continuous Industrial Processing and Equipment preferred over discrete manufacturing - Familiarity with SAP Maintenance or other EAM/CMM systems
