Description Asplundh Engineering is currently looking to hire Electrical Estimators in Bend, Oregon. This position offers diverse responsibilities and the opportunity to work on various projects in the Oregon area. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in preparing power designs for infrastructure upgrades, facilities replacements, and new installations for electric utilities. Responsibilities include engineering calculations, contract preparation, and more.
Duties & Responsibilities Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare electrical power designs according to industry codes and standards
- Apply design knowledge for power distribution equipment
- Analyze engineering problems and provide efficient resolutions
- Collaborate with internal team members, utility customers, and clients
- Develop electrical construction plans for various job types
- Review drawings to ensure compliance with technical requirements
- Interface with customers and visit job sites as needed
- Utilize CAD software and GIS-based tools
Required Experience And Education
- 2+ years experience in planning, estimating, or engineering for electric utilities
- 2+ years experience in electric distribution and/or transmission design
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software
- AutoCAD proficiency based on experience level
