Overview:

General Responsibilities

  • Assess and Evaluate: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of pediatric patients to determine therapy needs and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Design and implement effective occupational therapy interventions tailored to each child's specific needs and goals.
  • Therapy Sessions: Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to improve motor skills, cognitive abilities, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Family Education: Educate and train family members and caregivers on how to support the child's therapy goals and incorporate strategies into daily routines.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and specialists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Equipment and Materials: Utilize therapeutic equipment and materials effectively during sessions.
  • Compliance: Adhere to clinic policies, state regulations, and professional guidelines for occupational therapy.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and sustain prolonged standing and walking. Requires manual dexterity, physical stamina, strong balance, and coordination to handle therapy tools, assist with patient transfers, and engage actively with children.

Requirements:

Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients
- Excitement to grow and thrive as a practitioner
