This teaching position is for candidates interested in working year-round. My Gym Children's Fitness Centers in Braintree (new location opening in June '24)) and Norwell are hiring individuals who would love working with groups of children and parents in active early learning classes. My Gym's unique class programming for babies, toddlers and children up to 7 years old, is a perfect match for anyone who is outgoing, physically fit, and wants to make a meaningful difference in children's lives. Most of our classes include circle time, basic gymnastics, singing, dancing, fun games, and a variety of other activities made appropriate for ages 3 months to 7 years.

About us... There are approximately 200 My Gyms in the US and hundreds more around the world. The My Gym in Norwell, MA has been locally owned and successfully operated by David Ames for over 15 years, and we are about to open a second location in Braintree, MA. We primarily teach early learning "Parent & Me" programs for toddlers and early preschoolers and fun independent fitness-oriented classes for children ages 3 through 7 years. We also offer birthday parties on weekends and 3-hour camp programs in the summer.

Here is what we offer our teachers...

• Above industry salaries which are initially based on your background but go up with experience and your contribution to our businesses.
• Lots of flexibility with teaching schedules. Teachers can go to school and/or manage a second job and still work for My Gym Shifts typically range from 5 to 7 hours, but we also have slightly shorter and longer shifts. We like our teachers to typically work 3 to 5 shifts each week. We have weekend shifts and require our teachers to work one shift each weekend. If teachers are looking for mostly weekend work, we can offer that too.
• Flexibility with vacation time. We want our staff to have a great work/life balance.
• Exceptional on the job training that is adjusted to your learning pace.
• Our corporate office creates our weekly class curriculum. There is very little prep work required of our teachers other than studying our class programming and using our online curriculum system which provides videos and reading materials.

Here is what we are looking for....

• You must be a high energy person and fit. You should have the ability to do basic gymnastic skills like hanging from a bar, lifting your feet to a bar, and doing a summersault.
• You must be genuinely outgoing and enjoy customer service and being with children.
• A background in any type of performing, is a big plus, but not required. My Gym teachers need to keep the attention of groups, so expressive people that are comfortable with being the center of attention make great My Gym teachers.
• Ability to work at least 20 hours a week. We run AM and PM shifts and some all-day shifts.
