Job Description

Job Summary

Energetic and motivated self-starter to join the Software Development team to test and support production software applications for DENSO North America. The candidate should have a strong desire to work closely in a cross-functional team environment on a core product line of manufacturing software solutions. This candidate's primary responsibility is to prevent bugs from getting published.
The goal of the QA member will be to find issues before they get onto floor and advocate for code quality. This candidate will remove testing burden from DEV and allow DEV to regain throughput lost through bug fixes, bad releases, testing, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with DEV and end users to build test-case based system specifications and design.
  • Work with DEV and users to develop and maintain test plans for IoT Systems.
  • Confirm/test each work item meets design requirements in staging environment before allowing it to be queued for deployment.
  • Test user operation of application on multiple representations of production environment with mean spirit testing
  • Document testing results and work with DEV to build tickets to correct.
  • Communicate to group (or pair) results of test and establish release timing.
  • Monitor and enforce proper release cycle (Dev->Staging->Production).
  • Maintain software versioning.
  • Help determine risk rank of upcoming releases to facilitate better confirmation by plant-side teams.
  • Work with DEV to implement automated testing of known test cases.
  • Create automated end-to-end testing for primary applications using tools like Selenium.
  • Write tech documents to keep track of features and how to use/test them (Release Summary for Customers)
  • Work with deployment team to understand customer feedback of releases.
  • QA would be voice of DEV for customer issues/Requests
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ideal candidate would have entry-level knowledge of software development, Agile work environments, and some knowledge of manufacturing is preferred. They will be working with multiple software languages.
  • A strong desire to work in a hybrid work environment within a team. This job will potentially work in pairs.
  • Entry-level experience with software-development languages such as Angular, Dotnet, and/or Vue
  • A strong attention to detail with the ability to generate potentially new ways of looking at problems.
  • A passion for continuous improvement in processes, systems and work environments
