Job Title: Preschool Teacher at Primrose School of Winter Springs

Primrose School of Winter Springs, an accredited private preschool, aims to deliver a top-tier educational child care experience. Our year-round programs cater to children from infancy to elementary school age.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage daily class activities for a group of children
  • Adhere to all regulations set by Primrose School of Winter Springs and relevant authorities for child health and safety
  • Assess each child's developmental needs regularly
  • Follow approved lesson plans aligned with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach
  • Coordinate parent-teacher conferences and evaluations
  • Maintain an inviting and organized classroom to foster children's creativity and decision-making
  • Provide verbal encouragement and set clear expectations for behavior
  • Handle classroom upkeep, including necessary housekeeping tasks
  • Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and school events
  • Adhere to professional appearance standards outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Assist in other duties as assigned by the Director

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Meet requirements of local child care regulatory agency
  • Prior experience in teaching or assisting in a licensed early childhood program is preferred
  • Understanding of social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. to ensure child safety and manage emergency situations
  • Infant-Preschool Teachers: Preferred 2-year degree in early childhood or related field
  • Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: Required 4-year degree in early childhood or related field
  • Kindergarten Teacher: Required 4-year degree in early childhood and state teaching certification
