Join Our Team as a Per Diem MRI Technologist at AMI in Toms River

AMI is looking for a dedicated Per Diem MRI Technologist to become part of our team in the Toms River region. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing outpatient Radiology practice.

  • Operate all aspects of the MR scanning unit with expert knowledge of the system's computer and program modalities
  • Evaluate screenings to ensure patient safety within the magnetic field
  • Collaborate with the Radiologist to implement appropriate scanning protocols
  • Document daily work schedule in Zotec and on required forms
  • Monitor patient flow and accommodate unscheduled patients and add-on studies
  • Perform quality control testing, equipment calibrations, and maintenance procedures
  • Attend office meetings, in-service programs, and continuing education activities
  • Respond to office codes and uphold safety procedures
  • Interact competently with patients of all age groups
  • Complete any other assigned duties

Various shift coverage options are available for this role.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and MR Board Certified
  • Hold a current CPR/BLS certification with hands-on instruction
  • Experience with Fonar is a plus; willingness to undergo Fonar training
