About the Opportunity:

Job Title:
Turret Machine Operator

Pay:
$21.70/Hour

Location:
Brooklyn Park, MN

Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Thurs 5AM-2:30PM and Fri 5AM-9AM with required O/T from time to time

Daily functions:
Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Pulls up correct program and loads material into machine.
Select positions and fasten punches and dies in machine.
Provides feedback to programming and works together to resolve issues as well as troubleshooting any machine problems.
Programs and load new jobs when forming is needed.
Understands and comprehends programming codes.
Loads clearance dies per requirements and observes machine operation to detect product defects and/or machine malfunction.
Checks machine prior to ensure readiness.
Performs daily routine preventative maintenance tasks as prescribed.
Create and maintain a "Standard" nesting library for common parts.
Interface with Production Scheduling to be aware of production needs.
Actively seeks out improvement opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs in manufacturing, engineering, and sales.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Performs frequent quality checks.
Work within all safety guidelines.
Cross-train on various machines and platforms.
Other duties as assigned.

Desired qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Capable of reading blueprints and understanding work orders.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to use power tools such as drills.
Previous laser experience required.

Physical requirements:
Must be able to lift to 75 pounds occasionally during the shift.
Regularly bends, twists, stoops, pushes, pulls, and reaches with hands and arms. Must be able to stand or sit as needed for the entire shift.
Very keen vision and hearing are required.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Must have good physical strength and stamina, good hand-eye coordination and good dexterity in hand manipulation and muscle coordination.
