Job Details:

We are currently looking for a Scribe Supervisor to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. The Scribe Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the performance of the scribe staff at the assigned facility, ensuring proper training, feedback, and scheduling. They also act as the primary point of contact between clinicians, management, and scribes, playing a crucial role in the efficient operation of scribe activities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of science or clinical coursework at the undergraduate level or above
  • Experience in the healthcare field (work, volunteer, or shadowing)
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, Direct patient care experience

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Rotation through all shifts
  • Full-time position (40 hours per week)
  • 3-4 shifts weekly, including weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of medical scribes
  • Maintain adherence to policies
  • Provide onboarding and training
  • Offer mentorship and coaching
  • Address performance issues
  • Create and manage schedules
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing
  • Drive department initiatives
  • Conduct chart reviews
  • Attend meetings
  • Identify workflow improvements
  • Ensure timely communications
  • Perform clinical shifts as needed
